Random Rant #2

A most amusing series of events occurred the other day. While queuing in the grocery store that I tend to frequent the most, I was cut in line by a reasonably shabby looking character talking to his mobile phone about frozen asparagus. The store owner normally strikes down with terrible vengeance on shoppers trying to cut the line on his watch but this time he just shot in that frozen asparagus was not something that could be found in his establishment, whereupon the line cutter, looking like a question mark, showed him a bottle of wine.

Nintendo WiiFi Connection and Mario Strikers

Wii(Nintedo begged for this play on words, no?)

Anyway, one of my favourite multinationals starting with N launched their first game for the dear Wii playable on the Internet (if one don’t count the Opera Browser and the Voting Channel, of course) yesterday with the game “Mario Strikers Charged Football”. Not without its share of trouble here in France.

New Song: “Sung”

Distant Rain Clouds #2Well, this song started out as a tribute to "Vagabond" by Air and Beck, a slow bluesy electronic piece that I like a lot. Then I tried to write lyrics for it, but I didn't come up with much and came to think of an old Built to Spill song where they quote various rock'n'roll bands through time, so I did a twist on it…

WhiteRoom : A splendid babel of musical styles and languages.

I must say this is one of the best albums I’ve come across so far on Jamendo. Brilliant!

My favourite track today is the big-band jazzy Gomez-like ditty ‘Barcelona’. Tomorrow it might be the more laid back ‘Simple Mood’.
